热和冷
热和冷二重奏成形于1991年,但是直到2005年1月下旬才开始音乐活动。
世文和赛门两兄弟是加拿大人,但是他们认为自己是一支北京乐队,并且至今为止的演出都是在中国。
他们的风格跨度从沉重的低保真循环到梦想的shoegaze。有时二个音符比十二个好,有时没有音符比二个音符好。
在2006年12月,热和冷在”白色”乐队的张守望和沈静的鼓励下,重新振奋并开始表演。 随后的2007年夏天,他们做了大量的演出。
热和冷也和实验/朋克/灵魂乐队Fear the Talon,即兴/drone团体Speak Chinese or Die!,concrete独奏/集体表演3951等一起或分开表演。

Hot and Cold
Hot and Cold was formed in 1991 but only began playing music as late January 2005.
While brothers Joshua and Simon are Canadian, they consider themselves a Beijing band and have performed exclusively in China.
Their style varies from thrashing lo-fi loops to dreamy shoegaze. Sometimes two notes are better than twelve. Sometimes no notes are better than two.
In December 2006, Hot and Cold reunited and performed at the encouragement of White’s Zhang Shouwang and Shen Jing. They followed up with numerous performances during the summer of 2007.
Hot and Cold also play together and apart in experimentalpunksoul outfit Fear the Talon, improv- drone group Speak Chinese or Die! and the concrete solocollective act 3951.

音乐调教学校由陈校长在2008年4月1日创办于中国北京,携Mi 作曲系主任及宠二先生教授共同打造。
音乐调教学校于2008年5月的 mini midi 火爆开光并隆重处母发布其独家教程之第一课《如何亲自使用您本人的双手在您本人的外部听觉器官上演奏此曲目》。
我们的办校方针是 在音乐调教学校, 一切皆有可能!

目前人类还没有能力测知陈校长是什么。现阶段我们唯一能够感知的是 为了方便其混迹于人类, 陈校长有时会以肉身形式显现。

色明,体中等,气芬芳,性善,五音全,六感慧,声可入药。唇润而善言,谈吐可生津,盖集天下之灵气,五岳之精华,乃高朋满座不可多得之佳品。若敲之,则闻 如黄钟大吕,绵延数里;若抚之,则声如琴瑟,绕梁三日;若拍之,则哗如鼓乐齐鸣,蛙声阵阵,感天动地而泣鬼神也。是故,历朝历代文人雅士均搔首弄姿,赞不 绝口 此Mi只应天上有,人间哪得几回闻!

Music Discipline School (MDS)
Music Discipline School was founded on the 1st of April,2008 by headmaster Chen in Beijing, China. The cofounders of the school include Mi, the head of the composition department, and Professor Chong’er Xiansheng.
The Music Discipline School’s syllabus will have its ceremonious virgin release during MINI MIDI in May, 2008. The very unique first lesson will be “how to play this song with your very own hands on your very own external auditory organ”.
Our guiding principle is in Music Discipline School, nothing is impossible.

Headmaster Chen
According to science and technology today, human beings are incapable of determining what Headmaster Chen is. At this stage, the only thing we can perceive is in order to conveniently hide amongst humans, Headmaster Chen often appears in a carnal shape.
Mi Head of the Composition Department
Mi is the head of the Composition Department. Brightly coloured, medium sized, balmy smelling, with a sensitive and kind personality, he is also capable of carrying a tune. His voice is capable of being used as a form of medicine. Mi has moist lips and is good at talking, when he talks it promotes the production of saliva. His head assembles the spirits of heaven and earth, and the essence of Five Yue. He is a very rare and difficult to obtain presence for a gathering of distinguished guests. If he is knocked, the sound resembles a great bell, which can be heard from miles away. If he is played, it sounds like Stradivarius, resounding for three days. If he is beaten, he sounds like drum and brass instruments, which reminds people of the sound of frogs. These sounds shake the heavens and move the earth, and all the ghosts and gods weep after hearing it. Hence, intellectuals throughout history have all turned up their thumbs and said this Mi should only exist in heaven, and can hardly be heard on earth!.
Professor Chonger Xiansheng
Professor Chonger Xiansheng, a former member of the young pioneers of China, is a long-tested and faithful Disciplinist fighter, an outstanding creature in the harnessed team of our school’s educational battlefront.

Sunwei
1976年出生,1998毕业于四川美术学院,现居北京。
以声音、视像、装置为采样载体的混合艺术家(其中也包括一些噪音、声音艺术的个人表演及合作演出)
他的创作视域融合了单一媒质到多元的开放,从声音、视像、到装置广泛性的跨越与融会,对现实物质潜在的内部空间探索与其领悟,以及随之而来的实验性体验……
在Sunwei最近的作品中,他致力于探究声音(特别是环境声音在通常复杂的状态下被物体中的空间结构压缩反馈回来的这些微量信息,例如在凹形瓶胆的物体 内放入较高灵敏度的电容麦克……),而捕捉这些微量的信息是通过自我连接的装置逐一采集并放大,使其能在各种特定的环境下被时实传送和叠加,探索环境声音 与物体空间中的微妙变化。在最近的这些作品中,他更加注重声音与空间及环境氛围的立体营造,而不仅仅是作品本身,无论最终以何种形式加以表现,概念抑或写 实,而其神秘性往往隐含于刹那间对声音另一种不同寻常的体验。

Sunwei
Born in 1976, graduated from The Art Academy of Sichuan Province, China, in 1998, now lives in Beijing.
Mixes artist uses sound, image and installation as sampling carriers (also involves in individual or collaborative performances of noise and sound art). The field of his creation is a fusion of single medium and multi-dimensional openness, extensive cross over and integration of sound, image and installation, exploration and comprehension of the potential inner-space of real material,and the following experimental experiences.
In the latest works of Sunwei, he endeavored to exploring sound(especially the trace information produced from environment sound being compressed by and feedback from spatial structures of objects, usually happens under complicated circumstances; ex., put electric capacity mike inside a concave glass liner), these trace information are captured by self-connected installations in the manner of seriatim colleting and amplifying, allowing it to be transmitted and overlapped simultaneously under various specified circumstances, in order to explore the subtle interactions between environment sound and spatial structures. In these latest works, he put more attention to the three-dimensional construction of sound, space and environment atmosphere, not only the works itself; no matter in what final form it is expressed–conceptual or realism–the mystery of it always lies in a usual instant experience of the sound.
